The club President must provide leadership and is ultimately responsible for the club and the Committee. The Presidents is the spokesperson for the club and should work to maintain and build internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Chair committee meetings ensuring that they are run efficiently and effectively
- Sets goal and provides the strategic direction of the club
- Empowers the Board members to develop and lead their portfolios by monitoring;
- Skills and resources required to ensure successful completion of goals
- Encouraging innovative ways of thinking and planning
- Ensuring succession planning is occurring
- Is the spokesperson for the Club at any events
- Liaises with the District and other club Presidents
- Develops relationships with sponsors and community organisations
- Act as a signatory for the Club in all legal purposes and financial purposes
