As part of our ongoing commitment to humanitarian aid, we recently partnered with Humanity for All and MediShare to facilitate the delivery of a container of medical equipment to Northern Cyprus—equipment that is already transforming lives.

We’re happy to report that the container has arrived safely, and its contents are now being distributed to individuals and healthcare facilities in need. One story, in particular, stands out: a young boy, previously without access to mobility support, now has a wheelchair his family could never afford. No longer must he be carried or left behind—he now moves independently, with dignity and joy. This is the heart of Rotary in action.

Our partner in this effort, MediShare, plays a crucial role in bringing such stories to life. They work alongside Rotary clubs, governments, and non-profit organisations to support health infrastructure in disadvantaged communities. By identifying specific local needs and managing the provision and shipment of recovered medical consumables, equipment, and resources, MediShare helps build more effective, sustainable healthcare systems.

Importantly, their work also promotes environmental sustainability by giving redundant or end-of-life medical equipment a new purpose—keeping valuable materials out of landfills while putting them in the hands of those who need them most.

As part of our continued support, our club will soon be visiting the MediShare facility to assist with organising provisions for future shipments. We’re proud to contribute not only our resources but also our time and energy to a mission that truly aligns with Rotary values.

We extend our gratitude to Humanity For All for including us in their vital mission, and to MediShare for creating a pathway to more equitable healthcare around the world.

Together, we are improving lives—one shipment, one smile at a time.
