The New Generations Director is responsible for all youth related programs.  The role manages the clubs involvement in Rotary youth programs that may include; Rotaract, Interact, RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment), MUNA (Model United Nations Assembly) and the National Youth Science Forum.  The role will also support any other youth related programs or projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen the relationship with Rotarct (particularly with sponsored club Sydney City Rotaract) through joint projects, supporting their professional development and eventual transition into Rotary
  • Strengthen the relationship with Interact (particularly with sponsored club Alexandria Park Community School Interact) through joint projects, supporting educational development and eventual transition into Rotaract
  • Must work with the Treasurer to ensure funding is available to support key youth initiatives and develop an annual budget with forecasted costs
  • Responsible for arranging funding and submitting candidates to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards)
  • Responsible for arranging funding and submitting candidates to MUNA (Model United Nations Assembly) and/or RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) and/or National Youth Science Forum
  • Strengthen relationships and continue to support disadvantaged local schools, with programs such as book donations (eg. Alexandria Park Community School, Glebe Public School)
