A regular club meeting to discuss our upcoming events, ongoing projects and recent news. This week, we are joined by Rotarian Jan Pryor.
As a Central Coast high school teacher, Jan started visiting Nepal in 2009 and has since built a vocational education women’s centre in Mulpani, Kathmandu. The centre has educated hundreds of disadvantaged and marginalised women. Since The Didi Foundation was established in 2012, 64% of graduates have started their own businesses and another 20% of women have gained employment or gone on to further education. Jan will be speaking about her highs and lows of her journey and the challenges of working in partnership with a developing country.
Meetings typically run for an hour and include a hotel breakfast, with attendance costing $25.
