Dear Members and Friends of the Rotary Club of Sydney Darling Harbour,

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break and is refreshed for the new year! I am excited about the new year ahead and attending our District’s RYLA closing ceremony over the weekend has made me even more excited about the different youth that Rotary continue to support. Especially the bonds, leadership skills, and transformational journey that most went through the 5 day leadership camp. I look forward in a few meeting to having the two candidates that we supported to come and share their story and journey from RYLA.

The meeting this week will be only a club dinner only meeting and great opportunity for everyone to catch up post the holidays. We will meeting directly at Cabana Bar at 25 Martin Place, Sydney at 6pm. Please come along and it would be great to understand what are some of the ideas you have for the club!

Final Thoughts

An average of 44% of Americans make a New Year’s resolution before the night is over. Only 31% of people stick with the promises they made to themselves the prior year. A whopping 81% fail by February. The four most popular types of goals people set are to exercise, eat well, lose weight, and save money.

What is your New Year’s resolution? Come share it with us at our next meeting is on Wednesday the 10th of January at 6PM. For more information, please visit

Happy New Year and hopefully see you on Wednesday,

Nishant Samuel
