Dear Members and Friends of the Rotary Club of Sydney Darling Harbour,

Even with train outages and train delays around Sydney we had two guests visit at our last meeting with one visiting us all the way from Brandford Rotary Club in the US.

We have another great opportunity to volunteer to aid in planting of 250 trees. This is part of the Rotary Initiative to Adopt-A-Tree please register on the link below.

Additionally in the month of April we have two fantastic CEO guest speakers from two organisations that support youth around Australia. It would be a great opportunity on April 12 in our Face to Face meeting to bring a friend to our Darlings Rotary meeting. We will be sharing a bit about Rotary, our active projects and have Clare Pearson the CEO of Little Wings attending as our Guest Speaker. So please reach out to a friend to introduce them to Rotary and bring them to our April in person meeting.

The Environment is now one of Rotary’s areas of focus, and tree-planting will be a regular activity that the Rotary Club of Sydney Darling Harbour is engaged in. Like many of our projects, planting trees involves us performing works that will pay off over the course of years and decades. In order to help ensure the enduring legacy of our Club, Tree Planting will be a regular yearly activity going forward.

This March, we will be visiting two farms in Mittagong to aid the Rotary District in the planting of 250 trees. To enjoy a fun weekend of worthwhile labour with your Rotary friends, please register your interest via the link below.

Final Thoughts

It is a widely held belief that cows and horses cannot walk down stairs. These animals can’t easily see the ground right at their feet and the design of their hips and knees makes it hard to shift their weight backwards to stop them tumbling headlong down the steps.

Join us at our next virtual meeting on March 22nd at 6PM. For more information https://rotarydarlingharbour.org.au/events/virtual-meeting-22-03-2022/
