Glebe Public School Book Sale a Resounding Success

Glebe Public School recently hosted a vibrant and successful community book sale, bringing together donations from across the local area. Books poured in from far and wide, including generous contributions from some of our own Darling members, highlighting the strong sense of community support behind the event.

Representing the club on the day, Lynne from the Darlings played a key role in assisting the school. From helping with the collection of donated books to setting up and supporting sales throughout the event, her efforts were instrumental in ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Glebe Public School is one of our valued local schools, and we are proud to support them through a range of initiatives across the year. These include contributions to the school’s breakfast club, providing books for the library, and participating in special community events such as this book sale.

The day itself was filled with energy, as a steady stream of visitors browsed the wide selection of books on offer. A highlight of the event was a surprise performance by the school choir, joined by a local community choir, which added a wonderful atmosphere and sense of celebration.

By the end of the day, the event had raised an impressive $10,000 for the school—an outstanding achievement and a testament to the generosity and engagement of the community.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to make the day such a success, as well as to everyone who donated books. Your support has made a meaningful difference for Glebe Public School and its students.
