Dear members and friends of the Rotary Club of Sydney Darling Harbour,
It may be a few weeks late, but Spring has finally Sprung. I don’t know about you, but I spent a good deal of time outside this weekend – it really is a beautiful city when it’s not raining. Weather like this makes it hard to wear a frown!
And while you’re smiling, I have some good news – District conference is coming up! Being held at the William Inglis Hotel on Friday the 4th to Saturday the 5th of November, this will be a great opportunity to meet Rotarians from around the District, learn about our shared initiatives and see a line up of great speakers including Jelena Dokic, Craig Foster, Dr. Jamal Rifi, Nicole Dyson, John Kirkland, David McPherson & Deanne Carson. If you’ve not done so already, you can book your tickets at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/880607

The Regatta runs out of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA), the home of the ROLEX Sydney to Hobart race. The yacht owners provide around 50 of the best yachts and their crew – like Ichi Ban and Wild Oats – for free one day each November to support the regatta.

Final Thoughts
Strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries do not qualify as “berries” as defined by botanists, yet kiwis, bananas, and tomatoes do. Blueberries are indeed berries.
Well, that’s it from me. Don’t forget that our next meeting is on Wednesday the 9th of November at 6PM, taking place in person at the PSK Offices.. For more information, please visit https://rotarydarlingharbour.org.au/events/club-meeting-9-11-2022/
Until next week,
Drew Sturgiss
President
