Evening Meeting – 21/4/2022

The Sporting Globe x 4 Pines King Street Wharf, 22 The Promenade, Sydney, NSW, Australia

The Rotary Club of Sydney Darling is an active and an effective community service group, with a broad array of projects on the go. We support women’s homeless shelters, we plant trees, we organise fundraisers and much, much more. We have members from all walks of life and are always ready to try our hand at something new.

Our evening meetings are a new initiative to draw in new-comers and establish new projects. Like any Rotary Club, our members are our most valuable asset. Their passion, skills and service are the only reasons we’re able to make the changes in the world that we can. We would love to have you amongst us and to work on things you care about.

ANZAC Day Parade Volunteering

Hyde Park Elizabeth Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

ANZAC Day is a day of remembrance. It is an opportunity for veterans, current service men and women and the general public to pay their respects to those who have served our country. The Darlings are joining the Rotary Club of Sydney stall on ANZAC Day to sell ANZAC biscuits to participants and spectators of the annual ANZAC Day Parade. Please join us in raising money for Rotary projects which include supporting women and children at risk, homelessness in Sydney and a number of other important causes. If you can spare anytime during the day, your efforts would make an important difference in the day.

Evening Meeting – 19/5/2022

The Sporting Globe x 4 Pines King Street Wharf, 22 The Promenade, Sydney, NSW, Australia

It’s no exaggeration to say that the world has changed in the past two years. Things that we previously saw as constants such as our commute to work, ability to travel and work locations have been dramatically and permanently changed. This has flow-on effects to all other aspects of our lives, and Rotary is not immune. For the past few weeks, we’ve seen lower than normal attendance at meetings, with five Rotarians attending our most recent meeting. This isn’t anyone’s fault or an indication that anyone has done something wrong, but it does suggest that our traditional format does need to change with the times. This meeting will be an informal discussion about how the Club should work in order to vibrant, compelling and effective. Your ideas and opinions on how the Club can better fit into your lifestyle and deliver to your aspirations will be vital in the Club taking its next steps forward.
