How do I get involved?

Rotary is open to everyone, and we’re always extremely happy to have new people show up at our meetings and events. In order to become a member of the club and get involved with our efforts to improve the world around us, the best way is to come to one of our meetings. They’re always a lot of fun, and feature lively discussions and engaging speakers. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, starting at 7.30 at The Castlereagh Boutique Hotel. Meetings, as well as all other events, are published on our website, so the best way to find out where we are is through our events page.

What does membership mean?

Rotary is an inclusive group and, as part of our commitment to diversity, we understand that our members have other commitments. Throughout our membership list, we have individuals kicking off their careers, running their own businesses, starting families, or studying. As such, we understand that the amount of time that you can commit the Club may be limited, and that it might vary wildly from month to month.

Your commitment to Rotary is entirely up to you, and we will always work to support different levels of availability; from members who can only make one or two events each year, to those who work with the club almost every day.

How much does membership cost?

Darling Harbour Rotary relies on yearly membership fees from it’s members in order to pay for the day-to-day costs that it incurs. Items such as name badges, club shirts, venue hiring and website hosting all rely on members contributing their membership dues towards the club.

Membership costs $395 a year for members, which can either be paid in full in July, or in two instalments of $197.50 in July and January.
