Dear members and friends of the Rotary Club of Sydney Darling Harbour,
I don’t know if it’s the arrival of Christmas decorations in stores, the faint smell of the backburning or life beginning to slow down, but it’s becoming apparent that we are fast approaching the end of the year. Before we know it we’ll be in 2023 which is set to have its own triumphs and challenges.
To make sure you start the year off on the right note, this is a friendly reminder to:
- Register for the Rotary International Conference in Melbourne this coming May! We’ve thousands of Rotarians coming to our fair country from around the world, it’s essential to get in early to secure your accommodation. If you’ve not done so already, I’d get right on that.
- Register for our Tree Planting in March! We’ll be planting some trees again in the Southern Highlands, we’d love to see you there!
- Register for our Nativity BBQ! Technically, that’s still in this year, but it’s a great way to mark the start of Christmas!

28th Annual Rotary Charity Harbour Cruise November 18, 2022 at 9:00 am Cruising Yacht Club Of Australia |
Our friends at the Rotary Club of Sydney Cove have been running this regatta for 28 years, and have donated millions to support research projects at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, their principal beneficiary for 25 years.
The Regatta runs out of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA), the home of the ROLEX Sydney to Hobart race. The yacht owners provide around 50 of the best yachts and their crew – like Ichi Ban and Wild Oats – for free one day each November to support the regatta.

The Harris Community Centre will be holding their annual Christmas event, and have asked for our support in running their BBQ and Gelato store.
These are always a fantastic way to cap off the year, with youngsters running underfoot, grown-ups catching up and even an appearance from Santa.

Final Thoughts
