Australia Day is upon us this week and a great opportunity to volunteer for the 2023 Australia Day Wheelchair Race in the Rocks. Please find details below to register to help out on the day and hopefully you will be able to start the day supporting such a great event.
How did you go sharing with a friend or family member about Rotary? I tried with one of my friends and tried to tailor the messaging to more of the service side of our club. One thing is that Rotary has so many facets which is a blessing but a burden when explaining about Rotary. So I focused on what was relevant to hook my friend and I have invited him to one of our in person meetings!
The Virtual meeting will be a great opportunity to hear about some of the exciting speakers planned over the next few months and upcoming events including Tree planting and the Bush Dance!

Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT have called for volunteer marshals for the 2023 Australia Day Wheelchair Race, which is planned for Thursday 26th January. For those who have not helped out previously, the Rotary Club of Sydney Cove has for many years provided volunteers for this event, with the assistance of other Rotary clubs in the District, Rotaract clubs, family and friends.

Final Thoughts
On the 26th of January it is not only the celebration of Australia sovereignty by the British but also India’s Republic Day a celebration of separation from the British Raj. For me it is even more special as I get to celebrate the country where I grew up and the country of my heritage!
