The Darlings help out at The Station

Great news – The Station has received our donation of 120 kilograms of laundry Powder. We have started this year by supporting one of our great local community organisations in ‘The Station.’

The Station provides many services that assist more than 29, 226 clients throughout the year. In past years, over 2,594 loads of laundry have been completed by their clients at the drop in centre, using more than 320 kilograms of laundry powder.

We love supporting this great Organisation!! At the end of last year we assisted The Station with their annual Christmas lunch for their clients.

The Darlings donated hams, bananas and homemade almond loaves for the lunch as well as donated socks to be given as gifts to the clients.

“The Station Ltd was established in 1978 by community members concerned about the plight of the homeless population in the inner city”. “The Station continues to run the core day centre and the Housing Support Program which enables long term homeless people to access and maintain permanent housing. The drop in centre meets peoples’ immediate needs for basic facilities and offers an environment that enables service users to make informed and considered decisions about their longer-term plans”.
