Friday nights in lockdown aren’t always filled with laughter, but the 10th of September certainly was for Rotary Club of Sydney Darling Harbour members and friends. Our Virtual Comedy Night featured four fabulous comedians, a musical MC, and a whole host of raffle prizes!

At a recent morning meeting, the Darlings were joined by Dr Belinda Russon who spoke about her important work as the CEO of Tranby National Indigenous Adult Education & Training and her efforts in providing high quality education and vocational opportunities to indigenous students.

Four outstanding women have been named winners of the 2019 Rotary Inspirational Women’s Awards at a sold out lunch held at the City Tattersall’s Club on Sunday 27 October. The lunch was hosted by the Rotary Club of Sydney Darling Harbour. Sixteen women were judged by panels of Rotarians from Rotary Districts across the state.

The Minister for Mental Health, Regional Youth and Women, The Honourable Bronnie Taylor MLC, today announced the 16 NSW 2019 finalists for Inspirational Women’s Awards proudly presented by the Rotary Club of Darling Harbour. Minister Taylor said the Awards are a fantastic opportunity to shine a light on the enormous contribution of women in both city, regional and rural communities across New South Wales.

The Rotary Club of Sydney Darling Harbour is pleased to announce the launch of the Inspirational Women’s Awards 2019, held on 6 June 2019 at Parliament House hosted by The Hon Mark Coure, MP, Member for Oatley and Assistant Speaker of the NSW Legislative Assembly. While individual organisations have specific internal awards, the Rotary Inspirational Women’s Awards (RIWA) recognises service to the community across all sectors. It is directed at the non-Rotary community. It is about commitment, dedication, perseverance and pro-activity in improving the lives of others. The Awards are open to women across NSW.

Thanks so much to those who were able to attend and support our Bush Dance on Saturday night.  It really was a fabulous night, with lots of dancing, fantastic food delivered by Exquisite Catering, great work by MC Mike Mazza, a selection of country tunes belted out by The Inland
